Expatriation: how do companies and employees approach this challenge?
16 juin 2015
Événement de la Chambre
CEOs and HRDs regularly experience this question; how to ensure success when they welcome an expatriate or when they send an employee abroad?
For the employees it’s important to prepare this new challenge thinking of all the aspects.
The difficulties are many and well-known:
– Real estate and housing
– Bank account, insurance
Intercultural differences :
– Misunderstandings and norms
– Management differences and different perceptions of being colleagues
– Rebuilding a social network and interacting with professionals in a different culture – …
– Fiscal aspects in connection with relocation
But solutions exist to facilitate this new challenge for employees and companies.
Join us on June 16 to exchange knowledge with a relocation specialist, Else Christensen from Relocare agency. Relocare and the Chamber of Commerce, through regular exchanges with companies established in Denmark, have developed a relocation package (intercultural training, a guide and a special day for the newcomers in Denmark, installation assistance, opening of a bank account etc.) to diminish the high level of stress and save time for employees and the companies.
Robert Mikelsons, head of the fiscal department of Njord Law Firm, will enlighten us about the fiscal aspects.
